Simone Bryna Kim, 24, a resident of Killeen, Texas, was arrested for arguing with a man on Frontier Airline Flight 2426 bound for Philadelphia on the tarmac at Miami International Airport on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Kim also bit the police officers who responded to the situation.
Kim refused to leave the flight after a crew member tried to defuse the situation. However, she called the police to be removed from the plane. She was dragged off the flight and faces two counts of assault on a police officer and one count of resisting an officer with violence. Kim will also face three counts of assault on an officer and one count of trespassing.

However, she was released from Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center after posting bond, according to the New York Post. The woman told a passenger: “I’m going to beat you up. What are you trying to be? I’ll shake your shit. If you’re real, show me what’s up. I’m going to beat the crap out of you in this shit, I guarantee it, I guarantee it.” Plus, she added, “You’re not even from Philly.”
Despite police responding to the scene, Kim can be seen scratching and biting an officer and even tried to kick one of them, one of whom is nearly knocked over during the arrest. A passenger filmed the scenes on camera and posted them on TikTok. In the video, we can see other passengers expressing their disappointment and shock at the incident.
Fighting with passengers on airplanes is not a new incident. Two female passengers were recently arrested at Miami International Airport after an altercation with an airline worker. When the incident was reported, the duo also ended up fighting with the policemen. The incident began as a verbal argument when one of the women named Makyan Mercer threw a plastic sign at a Frontier Airlines employee after she was told she couldn’t board her flight because she was 45 minutes late.
Janaeah Negash, 21, tried to interfere with the arrest by placing herself between the woman and the officers. Mercer was booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail on charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest with violence and disorderly conduct. Meanwhile, Negash was arrested for resisting arrest with violence and disorderly conduct. However, they were released after posting bail of $500 each, the New York Post reported.
