Soccer star Kevin De Bruyne is one of the most decorated athletes on the planet, having helped Manchester City secure four Premier League titles in five seasons since joining the team in 2015. Not much is known, however. about the love of his life, Michele.
De Bruyne met Michèle (née Lacroix) in 2014. The athlete revealed in a 2019 interview with The Players’ Tribune that the pair met via Twitter. “He started with a tweet. He only had a few thousand followers at the time, because he was still on loan at Werder Bremen,” she recalled.

The couple finally took their holy vows in Sorrento, Italy on June 26, 2017.
Michèle shared a photo of the couple kissing after the wedding and captioned the post “06.26.2017.” Kevin also uploaded a photo of himself of himself and wrote, “I’m so proud to be able to call you my wife now!” De Bruyne posted a tribute to Michèle on her first anniversary in 2018. He described her first year of marriage as an “incredible year with many more to come” and called his wife her “partner in the crime”.
As mentioned, the doting couple have three children together. Michèle reportedly became pregnant with her first child during the transfer window in 2015. De Bruyne would later describe that period as an “extremely stressful time” for his family. Mason Milian was born in March 2016 and they welcomed their second son Rome in October 2018.
De Bruyne paid tribute to his wife during his interview with The Players’ Tribune, saying she “changed my life in so many ways. Honestly I don’t know what I would do without her.” The couple would later welcome their third child and first daughter, Suri, in September 2020.
Michèle is very supportive of De Bruyne’s career. After Manchester City won the Premier League in 2018, she posted a photo of herself holding the Premier League trophy alongside her husband and her son on Instagram. In addition, she also supports the soccer star when she is on international duty.
After Belgium was knocked out of the 2018 World Cup by France, Michèle shared a photo of herself with the colors of the Belgian flag on her face, comforting her husband and son. With that said, Michèle is currently co-hosting the Secret Society podcast, which is in Dutch and invites a variety of Dutch and Belgian celebrities to participate in various topics.
