A Christian high school teacher has been arrested after she allegedly sent a student s*xually explicit text messages and made plans to sneak him into her home while her husband was away.
Julie Hoover, 38, a teacher at Point of Grace Christian School in Perry, Florida, was arrested and charged with an authority figure soliciting or having s*x with a student on Wednesday.
Police records obtained by WCTV show the student’s mother found the explicit messages on her son’s phone and reported them to police on June 2.
Hoover had been s*xting the 18-year-old student, a senior at the school, from March to April, according to police.

The student’s mother told police that Hoover planned for her son to come to her home while her husband was not at work.
Hoover was released Thursday on $15,000 bond. The student was enrolled in more than one of Hoover’s classes, according to police.
A graduate of the University of St. Leo, Hoover has taught math at the school since 2018, according to her LinkedIn page. Hoover’s social media was disabled as of June 12.
DailyMail.com was unable to reach Point of Grace Christian School for comment at the time of publication. The small school teaches kindergarten through 12th grade and had just 20 students in its graduating class this year.
The mission statement on the school’s website reads: ‘POGC’s goal is to train young people in the highest principles of moral character, self-discipline, individual responsibility, personal integrity and good citizenship. POGC unapologetically upholds high standards of morality and wisdom.’
