Actor Jonah Hill, 38, filed a petition in Los Angeles this week to legally change his name, removing Feldstein from his title. Born Jonah Hill Feldstein, the ‘Superbad’ actor has always used his middle name throughout his career. Just this month, actor Aaron Paul also filed a petition to change his legal name. However, Academy Award nominee Jonah wants to keep the name he’s used publicly for years and change it to his legal name, TMZ reported.
Jonah has a sister, actress Beanie Feldstein, whose first and middle names are Elizabeth Greer. Jonah appears to be following in the footsteps of actor Aaron Paul, 43, who filed a petition to legally change his last name to Paul de Sturtevant. Earlier this year, Kanye West also filed a petition to change his name from Kanye Omari West to “Ye” for “personal reasons.”

The ‘Breaking Bad’ actor was born Aaron Paul Sturtevant, but adopted his stage name because his last name was too difficult to pronounce. In addition, Paul and his wife Lauren Parsekian, 35, filed the petition to change their last names and the legal name of their child. The 9-year-old married couple filed a petition to change their 7-month-old son’s name to Ryden Caspian, from his current legal name Casper Emerson.
They are also parents to a four-year-old girl named Story. Aaron and Lauren recalled the moment they were asked to give a hospital name for their son, but then changed their minds to Ryden, the publication reported. They also noted that the reason for changing their legal title was that they want to “keep the family name.”
Initially, the actor had kept the arrival of his son a secret, but later broke the news on Instagram stating that it was finally time. “My little man. Ryden Caspian Paul. So happy you are in this world, beautiful boy,” he wrote on Instagram.
“I promise to make you proud, little one. We’ve been sucking in this baby for the last month and we feel it’s time to finally share the news of his arrival. We love you endlessly.” Paul and Parsekian first met at Coachella in 2009. The couple later met at the festival the following year and reportedly shared their first kiss. They got engaged on New Year’s Eve in 2011 while the couple were vacationing in Paris, and married in 2013.
