A woman from Fall River will serve the next 25 years in prison for routinely assaulting two boys, ages 2 and 7, who were in her care and using them to create child pornography that she shared with her partner. Nichole Cyr, 27, of Fall River, was found guilty of two counts of sexual exploitation of children and was sentenced on Wednesday in US District Court in Boston to 25 years in prison and five years of supervised release.

In July 2020, Cyr was detained after a resident of her apartment complex discovered Cyr’s lost iPhone and learned it included several images and videos of minors being sexually assaulted and raped. The Fall River police were informed by the tenant and her landlord, who then had Cyr detained and questioned. According to the prosecution,
Cyr acknowledged that the phone belonged to her, that she had cared for the two kids in the pictures and videos on numerous occasions, that she had touched their genitalia and performed sexual acts on them, and that she had sent a man with whom she had a sexual relationship explicit pictures of herself doing these things.
The assault appeared to have occurred at the children’s home in New Bedford, according to photographic evidence, the victims’ parents confirmed. The Boston resident Paul Weddington, who Cyr allegedly had a “apparent master-slave relationship with in a pre-sentence memo, received the pictures and films from Cyr.
