A Nashville-based group of parents organised the event with the goal of raising $25,000 for the cause. More than 705 people contributed to the event, which successfully raised over $45,000. According to Don Aaron, a spokesman for the Nashville Police Department, no other people were hurt in the incident outside the six victims. Nonetheless, glass fragments caused injury to one law enforcement officer.
