A woman has been found guilty of taking her stepdaughter’s life while her father was away. Julia Elaine Bevely reportedly stabbed 11-year-old Jade Marie Beasley multiple times and left her to die in a bathtub in December 2020. At the time of the crime, the girl’s father was at work.
The killer was convicted of three counts of first-degree murder after nearly two hours of deliberation by the jury on Wednesday, February 15, WSIL TV reported. Currently, he has been placed with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, as his sentencing will take place on June 2.

According to previous reports, it was Julia herself who called 911 after stabbing Jade, leaving her in a pool of blood, on Dec. 5, 2020. At the time, she told police that when she got to the home, where she lived with the boy’s father, discovered Jade’s lifeless body and also found an unidentified person leaving the place, WSPD Local 6 reported.
But eventually, the investigators found out that Julia was the real culprit and he made up the story to save himself from her. During the trial, Patrol Sgt. Aaron Anderson of the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office reportedly said of the crime scene: “I’ve never seen so much blood in my 13-year career.”
Meanwhile, the deceased girl’s obituary has been filled with numerous adjectives that describe her. It read: “Marion- Jade Marie Beasley, 11, of Marion, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Saturday, December 5, 2020. The daughter of Jessica Marie (Mandrell) Bradley and Gregory Michael Beasley, Jade was born in Marion on August 3, 2009.
I was a sixth grader at Marion Junior High School.”The eulogy also noted that Jade was a “fun, smart and sassy” child who she “liked to play outside and swim.” She liked art, drawing, painting and playing video games. Jade loved her friends, she adored her pets, and she loved her siblings. “Private funeral services for Jade’s family and friends will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. m. at the First Baptist Church of Marion. Dr. Bob Dickerson will officiate.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation time will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Marion. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is helping the family with final arrangements,” she concluded. Julia’s conviction comes as the entire nation is hooked on the case of Lindsay Clancy, a mother who allegedly killed her three children before attempting to end her life as well. .
Currently in hospital, Lindsay is believed to be suffering from postpartum psychosis, which resulted in the drastic step she took on January 24. The 32-year-old mother fatally attacked her five-year-old daughter Cora, her 3-year-old son Dawson and 7-month-old Callan when her husband, Patrick, was not home. Although prosecutors claimed that she intentionally murdered the children, Patrick thinks otherwise.
The devastated husband has reportedly called Lindsay “generously loving and caring to everyone.” He added: “I took great pride in being the husband of Lindsay and the father of Cora, Dawson and Callan. I always reminded myself that every day with them was a new gift. We always started our days together, reading books, snuggling on the couch, and playing with magnetic tiles.”
