A quarrel over the alleged shooter spying on a neighbor’s home led to a shooting in Rhode Island that resulted in two fatalities and one injury to a teenager. James Harrison, 52, the alleged shooter, was also shot by police and died following a chase and standoff close to the border between Johnston and Cranston, according to WPRI.
No names have been released for the victims, however sources told the publication that one of them is Harrison’s mother, who he shared a home at 4 Ligian Court with. The second victim, according to the police, was an adult who resided at 2 Ligian Court directly across from Harrison and his mother.

Tuesday night after midnight, the police were called to Harrison’s house, but he would not answer the door, according to the police and sources. Before emergency personnel flooded the neighbourhood on Wednesday morning around 7:30 a.m., a neighbour heard a loud noise and then saw Harrison depart his home.
According to Johnston Police Chief Mark Vieira, at around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, his department responded to two 911 calls reporting gunshots, one of which originated from 2 Ligian Court. An officer who wasn’t on duty noticed Harrison’s car parked in a cemetery after police promptly issued a notice asking cops to be on the lookout for him.
When the police arrived, Harrison “drove towards these police officers head-on in their vehicles, nearly hitting them,” according to neighbouring Cranston Police Chief Michael Winquist. After that occurrence, there was a chase. Harrison allegedly drove recklessly and even collided with a Cranston police car while being pursued by police on Plainfield Pike.
He then allegedly jumped over the centre median and struck a rock, according to police.Police officers swiftly encircled him and ordered him out of the car. He returned outside after a while and pointed a gun at the police, who subsequently shot and killed him. Although some of the cops were brought to nearby hospitals for evaluation, it appears that no officers were hurt.
