Idaho Murders Wiki – Idaho Murders Biography

Police are still searching for answers and trying to find the killers behind the brutal murder of four University of Idaho students that took place on November 13. Even after two weeks, authorities have been unable to find any major leads to track down the potential killer(s) and the chances of finding a solution to the case were becoming slim, according to experts.

However, that doesn’t seem to be the case for web sleuths who have time and time again come up with theories based on the tragic incident. The four students who lost their lives in the ordeal are Ethan Chapin, 20, of Conway, Washington; Madison Mogen, 21, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; Xana Kernodle, 20, of Avondale, Ariz.; and Kaylee Goncalves, 21, of Rathdrum, Idaho. Two other roommates were also present in the house at the time of the murders but fortunately they escaped unharmed.

Of the four victims, Kernodle was said to have suffered defensive wounds to her body and had likely given the killer a hard time before dying. The authorities are also trying to find the killer’s DNA or any other valuable information that might help them. It appears that Kernodle also played a pivotal role in scaring off the killer, which could have saved the lives of the two surviving women, Bethany Funke and Dylan Mortensen.

A Reddit user put forward a theory related to the case, saying that Kernodle may have made a noise that scared the killer off and prevented him from continuing his slaughter of her on the lower floors. “Just a thought maybe discussed here earlier as one of the victims has been said to have defense wounds and it appears the victim was Xana,” Reddit user, who goes by u/Scary_Wolverine_7323, posted.

“Could it be that she was the only victim to make a noise, causing the killer to ‘freak out’ and not continue down to the lower floors? It would only make sense if she was the last victim, which isn’t clear but could “means it was not due to the other roommates not being part of the targeted act, but rather a crime of opportunity. His response caused the killer to interrupt the murder and leave instead of continuing,” the user theorized.

Other users also seemed to agree with this theory. One user commented: “She probably woke up due to Ethan being attacked and was probably attacked immediately after waking up and moving. This could explain why she may have had defensive wounds and others didn’t, but it’s impossible to say whether or not she responded.” verbally. Had the killer started at the top and intended to work his way down, this fight may have saved the lives of the surviving roommates.”

Another user wrote: “Yes. I’ve heard unconfirmed theories that Ethan might not have been killed in bed. Maybe he heard the killer and got up to check what the noise was. He was taken by surprise and killed. And then the killer he went after Xana. She had time to realize what was happening and she fought for her life.” One simply acknowledged the Reddit user’s speculation and wrote:

“This is a good theory. Now it remains to be seen what happens in the next few days and whether the police can track down the killer and solve the mystery behind the murders. Authorities reportedly described the incident as a “crime of passion”.
