Police say Spratt allegedly entered the victim’s home and confronted her about the barking dogs before presenting a weapon and shooting her multiple times. When officers arrived, they found the injured woman standing in the road with multiple gunshot wounds, according to the update.

Responding officers implemented lifesaving measures for two gunshot wounds using a tourniquet on the victim. The last known condition of the victim is that she was stable under treatment for her injuries. The shooting was reported shortly after 11:30 a.m.
“This is incredibly unfortunate and could have ended in catastrophic results,” Police Chief Christopher Hulsey said. “There could have been more innocent people injured or killed.
I am proud of the quick response time and strong decision making by our officers and I am grateful that this incident was not worse.”
