Harrison Ford was emotional after revealing the ‘Indiana Jones 5’ trailer for the first time at Disney’s D23 Expo. He was joined by co-star Phoebe Waller-Bridge and director James Mangold.
Ford unveiled the first look at the long-awaited film. According to Lad Bible, Ford said, “The Indiana Jones movies are about fantasy and mystery, but also about the heart,” adding, “We have a great story to tell, as well as a movie that will kick your ass.”

The teaser, which has not yet reached the web, was shown to the public present at the Expo. The latest installment of Indiana Jones will be Ford’s last appearance as archaeology’s action man. Ford appreciated the work of her on-screen colleague Phoebe Waller-Bridge. He told fans, “Thank you for making these movies such an amazing experience for all of us,” adding, “I’m so proud to say this one is fantastic. [Notes Waller-Bridge]. And this is one of the reasons ”. Ford also acknowledged the fact that this movie will be the last time he takes up the mantle of the character from him. He said, “This is it. I will not fall for you again. But thank you very much.”
Co-star Waller-Bridge is excited for ‘Indiana Jones 5’ and says she’s lucky to be a part of a beloved franchise. Waller-Bridge said, “I had the time of my life making this movie. I feel incredibly lucky and keeping up with this guy [she points to Ford] is exhausting.” The trailer showed the classic character in action for the first time in 14 years. Ford first appeared as Indiana Jones in 1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark. The last film was released in 2008, titled Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. At the time, Ford was 65 years old. The actor is now 80 years old.
The new movie will introduce new faces with actors like Mads Mikkelsen, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook, Thomas Kretschmann, and Antonio Banderas joining the cast. For the first time, director Steven Spielberg will not direct the latest Indiana Jones movie. The acclaimed director handed over the mantle to James Mangold, known for such films as Logan and Le Mans ’66. However, Spielberg is still on board the project as a producer.
Ford gained wide recognition for his starring role as Han Solo in the epic space opera film Star Wars (1977), reprising the role in four sequels over the course of the next 42 years. He has received numerous accolades, including the AFI Life Achievement Award and the Cecil B. DeMille Award, as well as nominations for an Academy Award and four Golden Globe Awards.
