Tracy Lynn Allen, of Dallas, Georgia, was arrested Thursday afternoon, Cobb County jail records indicate. Cobb County police say Allen passed through the Falcon Shores neighborhood on the night of March 10 knocking on doors. A Ring doorbell camera captured one such encounter in which she claimed to be with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

“Tell them Tracy Allen with the GBI is looking for them,” she could be heard telling the owners. The family says they also saw what may be a gun holster tucked into the waistband of her pants. Cobb County Police Sgt. Wayne Delk says police impersonators are taken very seriously because they undermine the authority of real officers. He also says that the police, even undercover officers, will always have some form of identification.
Dallas police say they have also sent a warning to other law enforcement agencies, saying they were notified that Tracy Allen had posted a threat on social media against some agencies in Cobb County. No motive behind Allen’s actions has been given. Allen remained in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center as of Saturday afternoon for felony impersonation of a public official or employee. Bail for her was listed at just under $3,000.
