Deputies from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint from a school system employee on March 30 around 7:31 p.m. who claimed that a 10-year-old kid had been “touched on her breast by her school bus driver.” The victim, known only as “JR” in court documents, is characterised as “a physically challenged individual due to suffering from Spina Bifida” who “does not have feeling from her belly button down” and needs to use a wheelchair.

The affidavit submitted in the case contains censored portions of the bus driver’s statements. Nonetheless, Cabrera was detained and transferred to the Collier County Prison after the interview.
According to jail records, Cabrera was still in detention as of Tuesday morning. There was no information on bonds.
