Ahmed Mohamed, 25, is wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of Mr Lamidi in Memorial Avenue, West Ham, in east London. The Met believes Mohamed fled to Kenya after the stabbing.
The officers are calling for anyone with information about the attack or the whereabouts of Mr. Mohamed to come forward. Intelligence Inspector Wayne Jolley said: “It has been almost five years since this horrific incident that separated a young man from his family and our investigation is largely ongoing.” .

“Taofeek’s family deserves justice and we will not rest until those responsible are found and brought to justice.” Lamidi was repeatedly stabbed and found lying in the street at 19:37 GMT on December 31, 2017, and died at the scene at 20:22, police said.
Det Ch Insp Jolley added: “Violent incidents like this have no place on the streets of London, and we are following a number of lines of inquiry to locate Mohamed.”
