During the interview, AOC stated that her time in Congress and her current way of dealing with women have made her realize that not everyone can grow up to be president. She said: “Sometimes little girls say, ‘Oh, I want you to be president,’ or things like that. It’s very hard for me to talk about that because it causes a lot of internal conflict in the sense that I never want to tell a little girl what can’t do. And I don’t want to tell young people what’s not possible. I’ve never been in the business of doing that. But at the same time…”
