According to information released on Thursday by Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy’s office, a 63-year-old Detroit man has been accused with murdering his roommate with a knife.
According to police, on February 26 inside their home in the 16520 block of Lilac Street, Nathaniel Alex McDuffie fatally stabbed Eric Sanders, 59.

Officers were called to the house and arrived upstairs to find Sanders with multiple stab wounds to his right abdomen. The man was taken to a nearby hospital by emergency personnel before he passed away from his wounds and was declared dead.
McDuffie is said to have stabbed Sanders several times with a knife after an argument between the two before fleeing the scene. McDuffie was taken into custody on March 29 following a Detroit Police Department investigation.
McDuffie is accused of committing second-degree murder on one count. In the 36th District Court, he was charged this afternoon, and a $750,000 cash bond was set.
