Divers recently released footage of their search for the teenager who disappeared from a prom on August 6. They showed on camera the moment her devastated father, David, was told that her body had been found in the lake. He questioned how the cops missed the huge car when they claimed they had already scoured the water closest to the party, exclaiming, “That’s fucking impossible.”
The search for the teenager took 19,000 search hours, involving police, the FBI and hundreds of volunteers. But it wasn’t until Adventures With Purpose came together on August 21 that they finally found her. Bishop, a former crane driver turned sonar expert, along with dive instructor Nick Rinn, searched Prosser Reservoir for just 35 minutes before Rodni’s body was found. The SUV was found face down in water about 14 feet deep and 55 feet from shore. Her remains were found in the cargo hatch.
