Valdo Calocane Wiki – Valdo Calocane Biography

A neighbour claimed that the graduate who is suspected of killing three people with a knife in Nottingham ‘used to sit out the back of his house with his top off, smoking and drinking’ when it became clear that he was looking for employment. Valdo Calocane, who is believed to be from Guinea-Bissau in West Africa, earned a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Nottingham last summer. The 31-year-old listed his “strong interest in dynamics analysis, modelling, and big data analytics” along with “computer programming” on a jobs website.

According to his profile, he was looking for a full-time job. He was a short distance from the section of Ilkeston Road where the victims, both 19 years old, perished early on Tuesday. A property on Ilkeston Road was raided by armed officers earlier this week, according to neighbour Kamran Kahn, 41, who claimed that Calocane used to hang out there with an ex-partner. The individual in police custody, according to the police, is the same person who was spotted entering an assisted living community on Mapperley Road.

Valdo Calocane Incident Detail

He told the Mirror that the man would constantly just smoke and drink while sitting in the backyard with his shirt off. He would occasionally spend a few days there since he was seeing a female who had lived there before. He spent a lot of time there. When video of him trying to enter the residential home surfaced, I immediately spotted him.

Tuesday at 5.40am, Calocane was taken into custody on suspicion of killing first-year University of Nottingham students Grace O’Malley-Kumar and Barnaby Webber. The 90-minute binge that began with the knife attack also included the running over of three people, including factory worker Wayne Birkett, and the stabbing to death of 65-year-old school caretaker Ian Coates.

The Nottinghamshire Police, who were given an additional 36 hours to question the suspect yesterday, do not think that the fact that he graduated from the same institution as the victims has anything to do with the attacks. A previous flatmate claimed that Calocane, who has connections to further student housing complexes in the Lenton neighbourhood along the Ilkeston Road, had confided in her about his failing mental health and that he “saw and heard things that weren’t there.”

He appeared like a normal guy, according to her, and although I didn’t know him well, he didn’t use drugs or drink excessively. He was originally from Guinea-Bissau but had lived in the UK for some years. He did confess to me that he had mental health issues. He claimed he perceived and heard unreal sounds and images. In the year 2020, I shared a home with him. He was mechanical engineering masters student. Despite the fact that we lost touch, I believe he graduated last year and was still residing in Nottingham.

The Sir Thomas Picton High School that Valdo attended has lately changed its name to Haverfordwest High School. Less about a quarter of a mile from their house is the Calvary Church in Haverfordwest, where his family attends services. Adrian Vaughan’s wife, Hazel, told the Mail that they are a “amazing family, really lovely.” ‘I can’t believe this,’ she exclaimed. It has surprised me.

‘We haven’t seen Valdo in a while,’ Mrs. Vaughan said. I was unaware that he had relocated to Nottingham. In a “coincidental” posting earlier yesterday, the church expressed its support and solidarity with “those affected by this tragic and evil act in Nottingham this week.” ‘Do keep them in prayer to know God’s comfort now and the only genuine hope of eternal life Jesus Christ,’ the message on the organization’s Facebook page continued.

The family’s mid-terrace house from the 1960s is located on a former estate that is now home to military families who are stationed at RAF Brawdy, which is 10 miles distant. On Thursday night, there was no response from the residence. Marlene Raymond, the family’s 55-year-old neighbour in Haverfordwest, remarked, “I can picture the eldest boy now in his school uniform, he was very smart and handsome.”

He was quite intelligent, as were all three of his siblings. They are a nice family and have been wonderful neighbours for more than 15 years.Since he left for college or university, I haven’t seen the oldest boy in a while. The mother didn’t speak any English when she arrived in this country, and the family has been living there for around 15 years. She is a nice lady and a decent mother, though, and she is now quite fluent. The kids receive a quality education and upbringing.

They are all quite brilliant and nice kids, and I believe the middle son attended Oxford. For a period, the two eldest boys were absent from the picture. The Raymond family is very attractive, said Mrs. Raymond. Between the three kids, there were age differences. They are a calm family, but I just know them to say hi, according to another neighbour. Since I’ve lived here, there has never been any conflict with them. She works as a nurse at the nearby hospital, and they both commute to work. They are an adorable family.

According to the Mirror, Calocane was recognised by a neighbour of one of the homes searched on Tuesday. Kamran Kahn, 41, admitted to the newspaper that he visited the residence with an ex-partner. He recalled: “He would smoke and drink out the back with his top off.” Although the individual being held was a former University of Nottingham student, Nottinghamshire Police stated that they do not currently believe that he was involved in the incident.

The individual in custody, according to the police, is the same person who was spotted entering an assisted living community off of Mapperley Road. A man wearing all black was seen on CCTV entering Seely Hirst House around 5 a.m. on Tuesday, just 30 minutes before he was apprehended. He can be seen attempting to scale a ground-floor window when Trevor Proverbs, 59, a neighbour, punches him in the face to knock him off the ledge. Mr. Proverbs claimed he saw the man while watching TV because he couldn’t sleep.

He stated to MailOnline that a man wearing only black was peering in the window. At first, I assumed he was a burglar, so I yelled at him to “f*** off.” But instead of attempting to enter, he jumped up onto the balcony and opened the top window. I stood up and gave him a right-hook to the face, which caused him to fall off the ledge. He raised his head and took a few steps before leaving. The security came to my door to ask if I knew the man before knocking. In my entire life, I had never previously seen him.

It occurs in the wake of rumours claiming Calocane visited the MI5 headquarters in London in August.
He allegedly demanded entry into the facility and was’moved on’ by security officers after his name was logged. The Sun was informed by a security source that “he showed up one day and literally started banging on the door.” He was logged and moved on. “This occasionally occurs.”

The suspect apparently had a history of mental health problems and had been residing legally in the UK for ten years. When contacted by MailOnline over the accusations, the Home Office declined to comment. Wayne Birkett, 58, the victim of a van attack, got off a bus early so he could walk to work, according to coworkers, and was hit by a white Vauxhall van close to the bus stop. According to the Mirror, he has severe brain injuries and is still in critical condition at the hospital.
