A 21-year-old Montgomery County man was killed in a crash in Northeast Philadelphia, police say. It happened around 1:35 a.m. m. Monday in the 2700 block of Levick Street.
Police say the victim, identified as Steven Thompson of Norristown, Pennsylvania, was a passenger in the back of a Chevrolet traveling north on Roosevelt Boulevard. At the same time, an Audi was also driving north on the Boulevard.

Police say both vehicles were traveling at high speed. Vehicles turned east onto Levick Street, which is a one-way westbound. The Chevrolet struck a metal pole and was then rear-ended by the Audi
Police say Thompson, who was sitting in the back seat with another passenger, was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The other passenger in the back seat, a 20-year-old man, was taken to Einstein Medical Center in critical condition. The 23-year-old driver and 19-year-old front passenger of the Chevrolet were taken to Jefferson Torresdale in stable condition.
Police say the driver and passenger of the Audi, both 21, are also in stable condition in Jefferson Torresdale. The investigation into the fatal crash is ongoing, police say.
