‘Archetypes’ claimed the number one podcast position on the Spotify charts. However, speaking to GB News, Schofield claimed that most listeners who tune in to the podcast do so out of curiosity, adding: “This is a case of hate watching or listening.”
However, Schofield predicted that after the first few episodes, it will be difficult for the podcast to keep its number. She said: “After Maria Carey, we have Mindy Kaling, you know, she’s a great comedienne and a household name. But the names are starting to seem questionable. You’re not familiar with a lot of the other people on the podcast, so don’t I’m sure I can keep that number one spot,” reiterating that the current rank is just out of sheer curiosity.
In addition to this, the royal commentator claimed that the palace is “probably nervous about it, as [Meghan] obviously isn’t holding back.” The next 12 weeks may give the Duchess of Sussex enough time to “complain more about the experiences she’s had as a member of the British royal family,” however temporary her inclusion in her family may have been. Schofield also joked that she doesn’t know if Meghan has “twelve weeks of content” to draw from her experiences as a royal.
