A 27-year-old woman who was killed in a drive-by shooting on Saturday has been identified as a mother of two and a small business owner. Rayne Rice Silva had been visiting her family over the holidays when an unknown suspect shot at her vehicle, according to a GoFundMe page set up to raise money for her funeral expenses.
Silva was traveling in a car driven by her husband, Erasmo Silva, on Interstate 10 at about 8 p.m. m. when the incident occurred, said Alyssa Riemann, a friend of Rayne Rice Silva. “The bullet missed her husband and hit her in the head,” said Riemann, who organized the GoFundMe campaign.

Emergency services took Silva to hospital in critical condition and she was pronounced dead around 9 a.m. Sunday. No other passengers were injured and no one has been arrested in connection with her death.
Silva shared a home decorating business with her husband called Nakoma’s Woodworking, named after her 4-year-old daughter Nakoma. They also have a 1-year-old son named Malachite.
“Rayne was a great friend, selfless, full of life and devoted her love to her children and her husband,” the GoFundMe page says.
