At their house in Great Waldingfield, Suffolk, in September, Peter Nash stabbed his daughter Louise, 12, and asphyxiated Jillu Nash, 43. Nash denied committing murder, but a jury at Ipswich Crown Court found him guilty. He was referred to as a “living human monster” in a statement made by Mrs. Nash’s mother at the sentencing.

According to Mr. Josse, there was no proof the defendant had a mental disorder.After the trial, the jury returned unanimous guilty verdicts. On both counts, he received a life sentence with a minimum term of 40 years to be served concurrently. The defendant appeared to “feel no remorse” and “attempted to justify these murders with relation to a deeply flawed set of beliefs about the law that you’ve obtained from internet searches,” Mr. Justice Edward Murray said during sentencing on Wednesday.
While Mrs. Nash’s family members sobbed in the courtroom’s public gallery, Nash walked down to the cells with the aid of his walking frame.In victim impact statements, Mr. Leamey stated that “all my dreams are gone” and that he “thought I would spend the rest of my life with her”.
