The married doctor met the woman at a hotel in Stirling in December 2018 and persuaded her to come to her room after she said the public toilets were out of order.She lost consciousness after having a drink in her room. Fraser Gibson, Scotland’s chief financial officer for sex crimes, said in a speech after her conviction at Edinburgh’s High Court: “Manesh Gill abused a young woman’s trust in the most heinous way.

He introduced himself as a respected doctor, but the reality was very different. His criminal behavior ended with today’s sentence.’ Mr. Robertson praised the woman for helping to convict Gill and said: “The woman’s courage in reporting this crime and helping to prosecute is commendable. Gill was also added to the Sex Offenders Register.
