Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police are searching for Luis Soto, 32, suspected of fatally shooting a man and wounding another inside a Brockton Dollar Tree store Tuesday. At about 1:27 p.m. Tuesday, Brockton police received a report of gunshots being heard inside the Dollar Tree at 999 North Montello St., Plymouth District Attorney Timothy Cruz said.

First responders found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both men were taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Boston for treatment. However, one of them, Dongbin Pyon, 38, died from his injuries, according to the district attorney.
As a result of the investigation, police sought and obtained an arrest warrant for Soto, who authorities say was a former Dollar Tree employee.
After the shooting, Soto fled the store, according to Cruz. The police consider him armed and dangerous. Authorities encourage anyone with information about Soto or the Brockton shooting to contact police. Authorities do not believe this was a random act of violence, Cruz said.
