Kevin Ware Jr Wiki – Kevin Ware Jr Biography
Kevin Ware Jr. was indicted Thursday by a Harris County grand jury on charges of murder and evidence tampering in connection with Taylor Pomaski’s 2021 death.
More than a year after 29-year-old Taylor Pomaski disappeared, her boyfriend Kevin Ware Jr. was indicted Thursday morning by a Harris County grand jury, according to the district attorney’s office.
Ware is charged with murder and tampering with a corpse in Pomaski’s disappearance and death, the district attorney’s office said.
He is currently being held in Montgomery County without bond on non-drug and weapons charges.
If convicted of murder, Ware faces a possible sentence of 15 years to life.
“Prosecutors presented the evidence to a Harris County grand jury, which determined there was sufficient evidence for criminal charges,” said Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg. “We will follow the evidence wherever it leads and apply the law equally to all.”
In April, authorities confirmed that the human remains found in December 2021 are those of Pomaski.
Pomaski had last been seen alive at her boyfriend’s Spring home on April 25, 2021. At the time, authorities with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said Pomaski disappeared “under suspicious circumstances.” .
Her boyfriend, former NFL player Ware, was arrested in northwest Houston after Pomaski disappeared. He was taken into custody at the Montgomery County Jail.
Ware, a convicted felon, was not given bond during a hearing on an unrelated case. The judge said that he was “for the safety of the community”.
The ruling stems from an April arrest when officers said Ware was driving 115 mph. Investigators said officers found an ounce of cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamine in his can, along with a loaded AK-47 and a loaded 9mm pistol.
He was out on bond for that arrest when investigators said Pomaski disappeared.
The human remains were found in December during a search for the missing woman at a site in northern Harris County. The location was identified during the investigation of Pomaski’s disappearance.
