Karim Azizi was arrested at his Harlem home Wednesday morning, just around the corner from where he is accused of attacking a 47-year-old man last Tuesday. A 36-year-old man suspected of hitting a pedestrian over the head with a baseball bat on a New York street was arrested and paraded in front of the press Wednesday afternoon.

A police source told DailyMail.com that “a preliminary investigation suggests there was a verbal altercation between the two” but did not say how long before the attack the incident occurred or provide other details.
The arrest came just days after police released surveillance footage of the brutal attack, which occurred around 8 a.m. in front of a Chinese take-out restaurant in Hamilton Heights.
Azizi was arrested on charges of attempted assault, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
