Jazmine Barnes (born February 11, 2011 – died December 30, 2018) is an American second-grade substitute at Monahan Elementary School in Houston. She was featured in the news headline after her fatal homicide on December 30, Sunday morning (7 am) in Harris County, Texas, United States.

The 7-year-old Houstonian was with her mom, LaPorsha Washington, and 3 sisters. At that point, around 7 a.m., as they were about to pull out of a Walmart parking lot in northeast Houston, 2 people (Larry Woodruffe and Eric Black Jr.) gave chase.

Eric began shooting at her vehicle after leaving his red pickup truck near her vehicle. Jazmine was later shot dead on the spot and her mother was also injured by a twisted discharge to her arm.

The Harris Sharrif County and Houston, Texas Police Group have also claimed that the Thought Killers are Eric Black Jr. and Larry Woodruffe.
