According to investigators and several news sources citing court records, a Florida plastic surgeon is suspected of killing a missing attorney whose company represents the clients the suspect is suing. According to a news release from the Largo Police Department, Dr. Tomasz Kosowski, 44, was detained on March 25 on a first-degree murder charge in connection with the disappearance of Steven Cozzi, who was last seen alive at his place of employment, Blanchard Law, just days earlier.
Despite the fact that Cozzi’s body has not been discovered, police claim to have enough proof to suspect that Kosowski killed the lawyer after stopping him for a traffic stop and executing a search warrant at his residence. Officers responding to a call at the Largo law firm’s office on March 21 reportedly found “small spots of blood” there as well as “a strong chemical odour in the business’s men’s toilet.”

Police claim in the affidavit that Kosowski’s fingerprint was found in the break area of the office building, which is normally off limits to the general public, and that he was captured on surveillance footage taking out “a container big enough to hide a human body.”
According to court documents, Kosowski is being held without bail at the Pinellas County Prison. Kosowski’s lawyer, Bjorn E. According to court documents cited by the New York Post, Fox 13, and the Tampa Bay Times, Cozzi was reportedly one of the Blanchard Law Firm attorneys who had been defending the Laufer Institute for Plastic Surgery, Kosowski’s former employer, and coworkers in a negligence lawsuit that had been ongoing since 2019. The Tampa Bay Times states that charges have been made that Kosowski’s insurance biller “intentionally and frequently misrepresented” the correct submission of medical claims to the plastic surgeon.
Kosowski had most recently worked at Sono Bello Tampa, where he had specialised in facial cosmetic surgery, body contouring, and breast restoration methods, according to his WebMD biography. This week, Cozzi’s husband posted an impassioned message on Facebook lamenting his passing.
