David Tlale, who was born on January 29, 1975, is a well- known fashion designer in South Africa. He was born in South Africa, namely in a community known as Vosloorus.  Joyce Tlale, David Tlale’s late mother, was his sole caregiver throughout his childhood. 

David is well-known for his skill, which speaks for itself. His work has been exhibited at the Cape Town Fashion Week, the New York Fashion Week, and the Paris Fashion Week, and he is also known as a designer who has created collections for large retailers such as Edgars. 

In 2002, Tlale competed in the South African Fashion Week Elle New Talent Show Competition and made it all the way to the semifinals. 

Tlale established design studios in both Cape Town and Johannesburg in the month of May 2003.
