Chalapathi Rao was born in the city of Baliparru in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. His son Ravi Babu is a successful actor, director, and producer in the Tamil film industry (Tollywood). Rao has appeared in a large number of films, some of which include Sakshi (1966), Driver Ramudu (1979), Vajram (1995), and even Kick (2009), a Bollywood blockbuster.

The first time he appeared in a film with Krishna and Jayalalitha was in the film Gudachari 116, which was released in 1966. Over the span of sixty years, he has appeared in more than 600 different movies, and he has even produced a few of them, including Jagannatakam and Kaliyuga Krishnudu. His filmography includes a large number of critically acclaimed works, including Sarrainodu, Bommarillu, Malliswari, Ninne Pelladata, Gulabi, Gharana Mogudu, Aditya 369, and Kondaveeti Donga, to name a few. It has been determined that Chalapathi Rao would be given a pass. On Saturday night, late in the evening, the renowned actor Chalapathi Rao died away. On Sunday, he celebrated his 78th birthday, according to members of his family who shared the news. Rao was a native of the Baliparru area of Andhra Pradesh, which may be found in southern India. His son Ravi Babu is a well-known actor, director, and producer in the Tamil film industry. His son too followed in his father’s footsteps. After having a heart attack on December 25, 2022, he died suddenly the next day.
