Ben Feigin is a producer who has won an Emmy Award in the United States. Feigin is the Executive Producer behind the critically acclaimed series Schitt’s Creek, which made history at the 2020 Emmys with its clean sweep, earning Ben an Emmy Award for “Outstanding Comedy Series.” Schitt’s Creek was also the series that garnered Feigin the Emmy Award for “Outstanding Comedy Series.” Ben was once again considered for the award in 2019. Feigin won the renowned Producers Guild Award in 2021 for “Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television, Comedy,” and he was also nominated in 2020 for the Golden Globe Winner. In 2021, he took home the award. Before that, Ben spent nearly two decades working in the representation industry.

Early Life and Career

Feigin began his career in Hollywood at Warner Bros. after graduating from UC Santa Barbara. He was born in Silver Spring, Maryland, and attended UC Santa Barbara. One of his first positions in the industry was as an agent trainee at the William Morris talent agency. It was in the mailroom of that firm that he first met his future wife, Heidi Feigin. Before making the switch to the production side of the entertainment sector, Feigin was also employed at the talent agency UTA.

After lending his talents to Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment, Feigin joined the TV department at Warner Bros., where he assisted in the production of major television titles such as “The West Wing” and “Friends.” During his tenure at Warner Bros., Feigin won an Emmy Award for his work in the TV department. In 2006, he joined Anonymous Content, where he not only founded the comedy and enterprise departments of the company but also represented performers, directors, writers, and authors. In addition to this, he was an author.

In addition to his work as an executive and producer in Hollywood, Feigin was involved in a variety of other artistic endeavors, including the following: facilitating art commissions for former President Barack Obama and other prominent figures; curating an exhibit for the Grammy Museum that showcased various musical instruments and leaders of the Chicano Art Movement; developing a streetwear clothing line; collaborating on a series of children’s books published in both English and Spanish; and developing a streetwear clothing line.

In addition to working with charitable organizations like Stand Up to Cancer and Gilda’s Club Worldwide, which offer free care and resources to cancer patients and their loved ones, the member of the Producers Guild and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences taught classes at UCLA, NYU, and UC Santa Barbara. He was also a member of both of those organizations.

Personal Life

Ellie, his daughter, will be 11 years old when he passes away, and he will be survived by his wife, Heidi. A memorial service honoring the life and legacy of Feigin will be held on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at Mount Sinai Cemetery in the Hollywood Hills. In memory of him, his family is asking for donations to be sent to the organization Stand Up to Cancer.
