“She Hugs her loved ones a little tighter and cherish every moment of life. We love you Beard. Rest easy knowing we’ll take care of Billy from here.” His other son, Mark Packer, also paid tribute to Barbara: Yes. After they were married, Billy and Barbara had three children, including Mark Packer and Brandt Packer. Not much is known about his third child.
Billy’s sons followed in his father’s footsteps as they both work in sports media. Brandt works as a producer for the Golf Channel, while Mark is a sports radio host based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mark is married to Amie, his wife of 27 years. The couple share two daughters: Emerson, who was born on October 21, 1998, which means he is 24, and GG, who is 25 and was born on March 20, 1997.
Brandt is also married and the couple share a daughter, Erin. She is 14 years old and was born on December 29, 2008. Brandt and Mark took to social media today to announce the death of his father, Billy, less than a year after his mother’s death. The family revealed the sad news on Twitter, writing: “The Packer family would like to share some sad news. Our amazing father, Billy, has passed away. We take peace knowing that he is in heaven with Barb. RIP, Billy.”
