Hi, this is Coley. I just want to express a few things in light of Anne’s passing. One, I miss her and always will as she adored her. Second, Homer is fine. Of course, he is grieving, and it is difficult. He is quite difficult, as anyone would guess, but he has the support of the family, he is strong and he will survive”.

Laffoon fought back tears as he expressed his gratitude to those who asked about them and those who prayed for them. He added:

Although it is difficult for me, my family and especially Homer, we have each other and we support each other a lot, so everything will be fine.
“Anne Heche is free from agony and enjoying or experiencing what is next in her life,” the 48-year-old Cincinnati native said of Anne Heche.

Laffoon went on to mention his involvement in her life, stating:

She arrived quickly and spoke at length. She was brave and bold, she truly loved us and she never hesitated to express what she (she thought) and what she believed. There was always love. Love was the central theme.”

In Ellen DeGeneres’ American Summer Documentary, Laffoon worked as one of the camera operators. Coleman and Heche reportedly met while on tour with DeGeneres for her stand-up comedy.
