Tuesday, Vermont police revealed the reason for actor Treat Williams’ passing and issued a ticket for “grossly negligent operation with death” to the driver who caused the crash that killed Williams in June.
On June 12, 2023, the crash happened on Vermont Route 30 just north of Morse Hill Road. Ryan Koss, the SUV’s driver, allegedly made a left turn into a parking lot and directly into the path of Williams’ motorcycle.
Williams was unable to steer clear of the impact.Koss, an employee of the Dorset Playhouse Theater, is 35 years old. Koss consented to meet with police after they contacted him at the Shaftsbury Barracks, where he was booked on the charge, recorded, and then released. According to the New York Post, Koss’ arraignment, who was unharmed in the collision, is scheduled for September 25. Williams first rose to recognition for his role as George Berger in the 1979 film “Hair,” for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe.
