Jordan, who appeared via video link from the Hobart Reception Prison, was instructed by Magistrate Simon Brown to make a decision at his upcoming court appearance on November 29.According to ABC News, the court hearings showed that Mr. Jordan is also being charged with three other offenses. The new accusations include one count of possessing a prohibited import as well as failure to comply with prescribed storage of ammunition regulations, possession of a controlled plant (cannabis or its products), and possession of a regulated plant.

The police claim that Jordan neglected to properly store four 12-gauge shells and 58.223 calibre rounds, leaving them in a cardboard box on top of a cabinet. On May 16, the 36-year-old was charged with the new offenses and held in jail without making a bail request. The 14-year-old was staying at a Launceston youth center when she vanished, and her host notified police when she didn’t show up. Her body was found in the nearby wilderness last month after a larger operation involving 160 police officers and SES volunteers was initiated. On August 12, hundreds of mourners crowded the Chapel of Parkside Funerals in Burnie to bid farewell to the ‘lovely’ kid.

The event began with the burning of candles in memory of Shyanne-Lee and the sorrow experienced by her family and the close-knit Tasmanian community. Almost 1,000 people watched the funeral via online streaming.Given that there were still many unanswered concerns around Shyanne-Lee’s death, mourners were informed that the burial was “harsher” than anticipated. In a statement, the young teen’s father, Nathan, referred to her as his “little puddin” and expressed pride at having watched her develop into a “young lady.”

With the exception of taking Nan’s car, you’ve always made me so proud, he said. “I must admit, I was a little impressed with how far you came at just 14.” I’ve made a lot of people laugh by explaining what you did. Knowing that I won’t be able to witness you grow up is causing me great pain right now. You were gone from us too soon. Dad will always think of you as his cuddly bear. The mourners were invited by Ms. Tatnell’s family to bring written condolences to be put with the teen during a funeral service.

Last week, after her daughter’s body was discovered, mother Bobbi-Lee Ketchell spoke in public for the first time while visibly crying.  She told 7News, “This was not the result we had hoped (for).”But I’m a lucky mother to have my child and to be able to say goodbye to her. She was stolen from us too soon, just as her life was beginning.
