On Wednesday, October 11, in Illinois, Rudolph Isley, co-founder of the renowned R&B and soul group “The Isley Brothers,” passed away at the age of 84. Vernon passed away in a car accident in 1955 at the age of 13, but the band carried on and relocated to New York with Ronald as the lead singer and Rudolph and O’Kelly serving as backup singers. Later, they welcomed their younger brothers Ernie and Marvin, as well as Rudolph’s brother-in-law Chris Jasper, to the group.
