According to KOIN, “investigation revealed that after she was reported missing but before he reported it to police, defendant made multiple trips to Home Depot to purchase zip ties, tarps, a saw blade, a black tote, and contractor bags, among other things,” prosecutors stated in court.Prosecutors also stated during the sentencing hearing that FBI officers discovered blood in Fritsch’s bathroom, bathtub, walls, bedroom, and on a saw.

Taylor allegedly left a residence in the 200 block of Jefferson Street at 11 p.m. on July 25. She was from Washington state, according to police, and was visiting with friends in Oregon City, some 13 miles south of Portland. Fritsch was reported missing on July 27. Her disappearance was deemed strange, and authorities launched an inquiry. On Saturday, detectives from Oregon City, the FBI, and the Clackamas County Major Crimes Team executed a search warrant at the home and other locations and “developed evidence leading them to believe that Ms. Taylor had died by homicidal violence, and an arrest warrant was issued for Mr. Fritsch,” according to a press release.
Police apprehended Fritsch at his house early Monday morning with the assistance of a SWAT team and transported him to the Clackamas County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
