Jack Parton Wiki – Jack Parton Biography

A 15-year-old boy received a shocking cancer diagnosis just two weeks after his twin died of the disease. When 15-year-old Jack Parton lost his brother Ben, doctors first believed he had PTSD. However, later tests showed that he had leukemia, a type of blood cancer. Parton’s family, already grieving the death of his brother, was devastated when they learned that he had malignant leukemia in his blood.

His mother, Julie, 54, told the Daily Mail: “Being told my surviving son had leukemia was devastating. Although I have to hold out hope that the leukemia is curable, whereas Ben never had that chance.” Ben died of a brain tumor 10 days before Christmas in 2019. He underwent two operations, 30 radiotherapy sessions and two cycles of chemotherapy.

Incident Detail

He had been experiencing excruciating bouts of vomiting and migraines before he was diagnosed with glioblastoma, eight months before his death. He was given less than two years to live when a CT scan at Wolverhampton’s New Cross Hospital revealed a tumor on his brain.

Parton’s diagnosis, just two weeks after Ben’s funeral, dealt a heavy blow to the family. Julie reportedly said: “Ben was very laid back compared to Jack, who is a fighter – they balanced each other out. But Ben loved Christmas and would get very excited at the end of October. He made Christmas so much fun for U.S”.

Parton will participate in the Wear a Christmas Hat Day to benefit Brain Tumor Research in December in honor of his brother. The family is holding an open house on Saturday December 10 and has already raised close to £1,000 ($1,057). Julie said: ”

This time of year is always difficult as Ben died before Christmas, but we decided to use his love of the holidays to celebrate his life every December. Jack is doing well and nearing the end of his treatment. I feel privileged to be his mom.

This year I’m asking friends and family to donate what they can while wearing their favorite Christmas hat during an open house on December 10 to support brain tumor research.” Mel Tiley, Brain Tumor Research Community Development Manager, said: “Ben’s story is devastating and we are grateful to Julie for sharing it with us. The family’s experience demonstrates the need for more brain tumor funding and research to sustain united families..

We wish Julie and Jack all the best for their Wear A Christmas Hat fundraiser this day. Anyone can sign up, and if you can’t join on Friday December 16th, don’t worry! You can make your event on any other day in December to suit you”.
