Princess Eugenie was moved to tears during the queen’s procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall on Wednesday, September 14. She was seen the youngest daughter of the disgraced Prince Andrew wiping away tears as she stood next to her husband, Jack Brooksbank.
It was an emotionally harrowing moment for all members of the Royal Family as they watched the proceedings at Westminster Hall. In addition to Princess Eugenie and her husband, Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara Tindall, was also present, accompanied by her husband, Mike. Eugenie’s older sister, Princess Beatrice, also appeared equally excited and was joined by her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Extended members of the Royal Family stood in two rows to one side of Westminster Hall. These included the sisters Eugenie and Beatrice, the daughter of the Earl of Wessex, Lady Louise Windsor, and her younger brother James, Viscount Severn. Lord Freddie Windsor and Princess Michael of Kent also attended.
Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice were elegantly dressed in their usual black mourning outfits. The youngest Eugenie wore a long-sleeved black dress, paired with pointe shoes and a fishnet veil. A black headdress rested on her head with only a simple pair of golden earrings. She completed her minimalist look with a low bun with loose strands curled in front of her face. Beatrice also wore a long-sleeved dress. Her hair was parted, pulled back from her face with a large black headband that featured a bow. Her husband was next to her, dressed in a black suit, white dress shirt, black vest and tie. A gold medal was pinned to his suit jacket.
Her cousin, Zara Tindall, had her hair pulled back in an elegant chignon. A black headdress matched her wide-necked black dress. She also accessorized the look with gold hoop earrings, adding a black belt with a gold buckle to the mix. The jockey walked hand in hand with her husband, former rugby player Mike.
Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin was placed in the center of Westminster Hall on a catafalque, or raised platform, where she will rest until her state funeral on Monday 19 September. Tall candles were placed on all four sides of the platform. The Royal Standard was placed on top of the closed coffin, with a gift of her favorite flowers resting on top of it as well as the Imperial State Crown.
Meanwhile, senior members of the Royal Family, led by the King and Queen Consort, lined up in front of the Queen’s coffin. King Charles and Camilla were followed by the Princess Royal, Anne, and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, then the Duke of York, Prince Andrew alone, and then the Earl and Countess of Wessex, Prince Edward, and Sofia. The Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate followed the lead members. Behind them were the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan.
